As a huge fan of Donnie Darko, I was super-happy to see that its director, Richard Kelly, has a new film in the pipeline which was inspired by The Twilight Zone - dude, that sounds AWESOME.

The film is based on a short story by Richard Matheson - basically a man appears at Cameron Diaz’s character’s front door, offering her $1,000,000 to press a button in the next 24 hours which will kill someone she’s never met.

Apparently Arcade Fire are doing the soundtrack, which is pretty darn cool too.

This is a quote from the io9 article (contains spoilers so I only got a couple of paragraphs in):

“More importantly, the footage we saw was like Donnie Darko, only more grown up and suburban. There was lots of trippy imagery, including people moving weirdly in unison, and the images look color-enhanced and creepy.”
